Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Tampa, Florida, Jomarr “JT” Tate began his dance journey immersed in the city’s unique “Kranking” style. After high school, he attended Florida A&M University, where he joined the esteemed dance organization “Boyz of Poison” in Spring 2013. Over the years, JT choreographed numerous routines for performances and was promoted to rehearsal director in 2016, showcasing his leadership and creative vision.

In 2017, JT’s choreography was featured at World of Dance Atlanta with his team, TranscenDANCE Company. By 2018, he relocated to Atlanta to expand his professional career, working with industry-leading artists and choreographers. His impressive credits include performances with Tamar Braxton, Xscape, Total, and Renni Rucci, along with television appearances on the BET Hip-Hop Awards and VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

JT has also appeared in music videos for renowned artists such as Jacquees, Renni Rucci, Crystal Nicole, 22Gz, and Patrick Breeding, showcasing his dynamic presence and versatility on screen. Passionate about sharing his love for dance, JT combines technical skill with authentic self-expression to inspire dancers of all levels.

Now based in Atlanta, JT continues to teach, perform, and create, contributing his artistry to stages and studios alike.
