Groove COMPANY 2025 Goals
- Sold-Out Groove Night at the Movies Showcase
- Organize and deliver a full-length themed performance that highlights the Company’s talent and storytelling abilities.
- Achieve a sold-out audience and use the event to spotlight dancers’ growth and creativity.
- Host a Company-Exclusive Showcase
- Produce an annual showcase for Groove Company members to perform solos, duets, and group pieces to highlight their progress and artistry.
- Collaborate with Groove Squad
- Perform alongside Groove Squad in at least one high-profile local event to showcase unity and elevate exposure.
- Bring in 3-5 Guest Choreographers
- Offer workshops with renowned choreographers specializing in different styles (e.g., hip-hop, contemporary, krump, heels, popping).
- Expand dancers’ versatility and expose them to industry professionals.
- Focus on Diverse Dance Styles
- Incorporate training in at least five new styles, including:
- Contemporary
- Jazz Funk
- Krump
- Afrobeat
- Heels
- Broaden dancers’ technical and performance repertoire to prepare them for professional opportunities.
- Incorporate training in at least five new styles, including:
- Develop an Acting for Dancers Workshop
- Introduce a class focused on emotional expression and performance storytelling to elevate stage presence.
- Hold Regular Industry Prep Sessions
- Provide career-focused training such as audition prep, resume building, and mock auditions to prepare dancers for the professional world.
- Participate in Community Events
- Perform at local events to give members real-world performance experience and build community connections.
- Collaborate with Local Dance Studios
- Host joint workshops or performances with other local studios to increase exposure and foster community.
- Organize a Dancer Mentorship Program
- Pair Groove Company members with Groove Squad mentors to provide guidance, inspiration, and feedback.
